Camping

Smokey’s Hideaway & River Camp is conveniently located beside I-64 just minutes off exit 29 in the beautiful Alleghany Highlands at the southern most tip of the Shenandoah Valley. This cozy, family owned and managed camp offers rustic tent campsites and can accommodate a few campervans/classB RVs not exceeding 20ft in length, and one site which has 20amp power access. Providing a great balance between primitive and comfortable, Smokey’s Hideaway offers a non-flush toilet and county furnished potable water. We do not have a shower facility. Every campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring for your convenience.

Campsites are limited to 4 people and one tent.  Rustic sites are $25 per night and site#1 with electric outlet access is $45 per night. Need firewood for your stay? We offer $5 bundles onsite for purchase (while supplies last). There is a QR code posted on the information board at the campground to use for firewood payment.
